Ulmus fiorente

At a small family ceremony on March 18th, a tree was planted in Kensington Gardens, adjacent to the route of the Royal Parks half marathon. The tree is an Ulmus fiorente (fiorente means flourishing-an apt name to memorialise Marcus) and was kindly donated by The Royal Parks to the family as a memorial for Marcus’s sudden passing away, whilst participating in the race. The following link locates the position of the tree.

If anyone would like to visit the tree and leave some token of their visit, please feel free to do so. The tree can be easily recognised as it is upright in character and planted away from other surrounding big trees.
